Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute

Empowering individuals through purpose, community, and workforce development to create pathways to lasting recovery.

Our Story

The Sérénité Restaurant & Culinary Institute launched in spring of 2018. Sérénité is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working in conjunction with the Recovery Center of Medina County, and open enrollment is available to individuals in the recovery community. Students are paid to attend, and have full access to all of the Recovery Center of Medina County’s programming, case management, and support systems.

Sérénité helps to change the face of recovery by providing essential on-the-job training for students and generates revenue to support the recovery center, supplementing the cost of education.

While dining, witness the power of a second chance and help change the perspective of what successful recovery looks like.

We reduce barriers to recovery from substance use disorders and advocate for those in recovery.
